HFES ASPIRE conference in Phoenix, Arizona
Reduced staffing is a common strategy that high-risk industries look towards to reduce costs and increase safety. Remote operation is just one of the ways that this can be achieved, but this concept can itself create new and additional challenges especially within the area of Human Factors and Ergonomics. Risk Pilot is delighted to be part of a panel at the upcoming HFES ASPIRE conference in Phoenix, Arizona on the “Human Performance Implications of Remote Operations in High-Risk Industries”.
The panellists for this session are: Dr. S. Camille Peres, CHFP from US NRC, Dr. Niav Hughes Green, Ph.D. from US NRC, Dr. Robin Murphy from Texas A&M University, Dr. Steven Mallam from Memorial University of Newfoundland, Dr. Stephanie Morrow, Ph.D. from US NRC, Dr. Kritina Holden from NASA, and Dr. Claire Blackett from Risk Pilot.
The focus of this panel is to explore remote operations across multiple industries to discuss the benefits and drawbacks of remote operations, with a particular focus on lessons learned for Human Factors and Ergonomics. We look forward to seeing you there!
