Nytt internationellt samarbete med Human Factors Specialist

Risk Pilot has the pleasure to announce that we have engaged in a sub-contractor agreement with Human Factors Specialist - Douglas Owen. A great start of the year, Douglas will support our internal HFE team as well as contributing to Risk Pilot's other service areas in order to further integrate the knowledge of human factors and perspectives in these services.

Douglas has over 20 years of professional experience as a human factors specialist in many high-hazard industries (e.g. aviation, nuclear, maritime, defence, rail, materials handling, infrastructure). He has worked as an internal specialist and consultant, also collaborating on international research projects and teaching. Douglas blends advanced theory with practical application and brings a holistic, human-centred, and evidence approach to his work. He has expertise in human factors, resilience, human behaviour, psychology, ergonomics, design, risk management and incident investigation. He is currently studying for his doctorate in resilience of autonomous systems in maritime.

Douglas holds a BA and a MA in psychology and a DipGrad in Information Science. Douglas is also a member of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES) and Fellow of the Schumacher Institute (FSI).
