Gdansk
This week saw the second Baltic Nuclear Energy Forum take place in beautiful Gdańsk, Poland. The focus of the project was on how to maximise the benefits of a national nuclear program for local communities and economies in Poland. The panel discussions considered topics such as how to develop a strategic framework for a more stable energy system, how to optimize technology and knowledge transfer for local stakeholder, the economical, social and climate effects of investing in nuclear power, and how future nuclear projects in Poland may be financed.
Jonas Sevrell, Erik Wallgren and Claire Blackett from Risk Pilot attended the forum, together with our friends at Blue Partner AB, ic.energy and KSU – Kärnkraftsäkerhet och Utbildning AB. Also in attendance was Carl Berglöf, Nationell kärnkraftssamordnare in Sweden, who participated in a debate on key regulations, strategies, and programs related to the implementation of nuclear energy as a stable and low-emission energy source. Many thanks to Michal Wendt at Blue Partner AB Partner for organizing the trip!
