HFES konferens Phoenix
High-risk industries often look for methods to reduce costs and increase safety by reducing the number of people required to conduct daily operations. This can involve remote operations and automation. However, remote operations and automation often presents additional and sometimes unique Human Factors and Ergonomics challenges. Risk Pilot is proud to be part of the panel discussion on the topic of “Human Performance Implications of Remote Operations in High-Risk Industries” at the HFES annual conference next week in Phoenix, Arizona.
Dr. Claire Blackett will represent Risk Pilot on the panel, alongside our esteemed international colleagues Dr. S. Camille Peres, CHFP from US NRC, Dr. Niav Hughes Green, Ph.D. from US NRC, Dr. Robin Murphy from Texas A&M University, Dr. Steven Mallam from Memorial University of Newfoundland, Dr. Stephanie Morrow, Ph.D. from US NRC, and Dr. Kritina Holden from NASA.
The focus of this panel is to explore remote operations across multiple industries to discuss the benefits and drawbacks of remote operations, with a particular focus on lessons learned for Human Factors and Ergonomics. The panel discussion will take place on Wednesday September 11th1:30 pm - 2:30 pm MST in FLW Salon C. Make sure to drop by and say hi; we look forward to seeing you there!
